My last track car, I went with 19s, which was expensive as it relates to tires and choices. This time, I want 18s. There are reasons the guys that race the Cups run on 18s.

Is it true that only BBS will offer 18s? Do most people that run their GT3s on track not see the benefits of 18s, thus no demand and no offerings?

Help me understand this....

To retrofit an 18 inch wheel to the 997 is problematic from a technical perspective. The large OEM and aftermarket brake rotors and calipers used do not permit an ETRTO (European Tyre and Rim Technical Organization)(or TUV) conforming wheel to be manufactured. (The wheel drop center dimensions are fixed under ETRTO.)
It is possible to fit an 18 inch wheel to the 997, but the drop center dimension must be reduced to a non-compliant level, or the wheel will NOT fit over the brakes. With a non-compliant drop center, the tire is a bit more difficult to mount, but it still works. ETRTO Non-compliance is not a problem for the USA or for track use, but world-wide marketers will have trouble justifying the expense for a USA or track-only wheel.
I hope this clarifies the problem for you.
That said, GMG sells an 18 inch 5-lug design that works with the 997. If there is enough demand, perhaps they will make a Centerlock as well.

PS: The BBS 18-inch wheel is also non-compliant.

Unfurtunaly we don't offer that wheel in 18" step lip only with a regular flat lip, and the falt lip will not clear the PCCB.

Thanks for the rapid response. Will the monoblocks in 18 clear PCCBs? Also, can you make monoblocks in custom offsets?

Yes the 18" Monoblocks will fit no problem, it will clear the PCCB brakes.
We are looking for 6 members to commit to the first 6 sets already in production that will be available at a one time WHOLESALE price.
