intermittent oil gauge failure

Anybody have any issues with this? Error light comes on, gauges goes to zero for a few seconds, then bounces back like nothing happened. I don't believe I had an oil issue, there are no leaks and level is fine. But it is un-nerving.

Yes in both my 2002 Carrera and my 2004 GT3; and in both cases it was just the oil pressure sending unit. Pretty cheap fix, if I remember right the part was about $65, and it takes around 30 minutes to install.

Which goes to zero: oil temperature or oil pressure?

Sparkhill, Part II

Only have a coolant temperature gauge and it is fine. My car does not have an oil temperature gauge.

Oh, thanks. I was curious because I just received the following error, "Oil temp. indicator faulty" on my TT.
