The Madness Continues!! can you say PET.......
Ranger - I agree with your comments below. I saw a white one on Teamspeed which is a distant 2nd.
I saw your car yesterday on King before the Giants game and Jesus it was loud...I was at Tom's Tavern with my back turned to street and heard it for multiple blocks haha. Topic of many conversations on the street after u drove by.
Fred looking at the set up, have you had the RS with this wing up to higher speeds, ie > 120 mph?
Reason I ask is because with no mod to the front aerodynamics against that monster wing could the nose get light at speeds. May need more front downforce.
Just an uneducated thought?

There's much more aerodynamics going on in the nose of this Cup car.
Just an observation but I could be wrong.
Ranger
^I've posed this same question in another forum. I believe the wing on the GT3R is in fact larger than that of the cup car, which is why the front splitter is more 'advanced'.

New setup installed.
Keep in mind that this is a little taste of the sound as James didn't get to high rpms. I drove it all day today and the sound is unreal! straight cup car sound! Resonance inside is even better then the Track Exhaust, sound note Higher but louder and more crisp!
I love it!
Videos coming next week.

Nice meeting you today Fred. This is Jason, I was the Cayman S parked next to you at DC Motors today. Your car sounds absolutely insane in person, video really doesn't do it any justice.
This is a GT3R, not the same aero as a Cup Car. That is like comparing apple's and oranges.
I would have to support Ranger here since This is exactly the picture that Fred has provided when forum members asked him what kinda wing is that on his mighty GT3RS.
I would assume this wing on the GT3R would be the one that is one Fred's ride..

For all those who are asking about the wing.
I had to order it from Europe Porsche Motorsports via Gert at Carnewal. Reason being is that Porsche North America does not sell parts from cars that are not U.S Production cars.
The wing is build for the 2010 GT3 R and 2011 GT3 Hybrid. The decklid in the GT3RS MKII is different so you need to make sure the mounts/wing are correct.
And saved lots of $$$ with the weak Dollar

Alan thank you. The wing on Fred's RS is the same as the GT3R Hybrid Cup car and the front aero on this race car is much more serious than the RS.
I don't know why this other member doesn't see that.
btw Alan how does the LP550 feel being RWD?

Can we have some pic of your RS or GT3? How do they look right now? LOLI find the LP550 A LOT of fun(since it loses its back end easily but at the same time, easily to correct) to drive compared to Lp560 which has the 4WD, the 560 is very stable over the corner, slower turn in just like typical AWD cars. However, my 550 as I drove them back to back when I was deciding which one to go for; I can easily feel that the front of my 550 is much lighter then the 560, as a result, I can turn in alot quicker, the steering response is the MOST direct, and FAST among the cars I have driven. (F430 coupe, my 997TT with Bilstein b16/swaybars, and so on) For me, the steering response is just an important factor when it comes to driving feel. My 550 gives me ALOT of confidence in turn in, BUT when I am IN the corner, my 997TT gives me the most confidence due to its AWD. My next car would be a GT3 (or even RS if i can) since I have never driven a GT3, i don't know how they feel. Would you mind sharing some experience of yours, Ranger? or anyone here who are experts in the GT3s!!!!
Thank you all in advance!
CHeers,
Alan
Alan thanks for the input on the LP550. I dream about buying a used SL and sending it to Underground or Heffner.
Regarding the GT3RS, there'll be pics coming soon about latest tweeks. It's at Champion Motorsport right now getting ready for Homestead track day Saturday (weather may suck).
The GT3/RS imo is a very visceral driver's car. Lots of feedback and feel. Very engaging, I love it. When driving it feels like it's hardwired to my brain/senses.
More soon.
