GT3 RS at my local dealer.
IMO, the 7.2 RS will ultimately be the most desirable of all 996 and 997 cars. Think about it:
People argue and debate about it all the time, but I would think that the 7.2 RS will be the last to have the GT1 block, given the growing momentum behind reduced emissions. Furthermore, witness the 918 as evidence that Porsche is willing to dig deep and think outside the box to achieve this.
Couple the best of the best drivers car cachet of the RS with the end of the line GT1 block, the limited supply of cars, and the substantial improvements over the regular GT3 (titanium muffler, wider front track, the wing, the extra ram air hp, etc.) especially vs. the 7.1 RS over the 7.1 GT3.
I doubt I could rationally think about one as an "investment", but I wouldn't do any mods that couldn't be easily reversed. I would, however, drive it rather than look at it.
Hey Guest, all good points. The 997.1 GT3RS I point blank love. I do not see ever getting rid of it. A sportscar for life or to pass down to my boys.
The 997.2 RS certainly falls in the same and better considerations.
It is sad to see how the value of the 997.1's have tanked so based on present economic reasons and future conditions it maybe wiser to look for one after a year or so.
With what all these political morons are planning to impliment the economy will tank even worse. I would think the same fate will happen to the new RS.
It would still nice to get a new one though.
Will see.
