Question So how much "abuse" can the clutch take

So in was thinking... We drive a very different beast from all of the Porsche fleet, and they call it the GT3. The car (mechanically) was designed to be driven hard (for the track) ya basically can beat the s*** out of this car (in a beautiful way, kinda like being in love with a beautiful women ...) What differs this clutch from other Porsches.. Is it more precise, direct, delicate, strong, hard.. I only have 200 miles on my 2010.. I have bin taking it easy 4200-4900 Rpms were my top. How different will the drive/feeling change as I brake it on towards 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 miles

its pretty safe to say the gt3s clutch can take some abuse. 20k miles of hard driving . And still grabs the same way it did when new.

I can actually smell the clutch if i do a quick 1-2 shift at 8000+rpm.since all the weight is in the back ,its feels pretty hard on the car so only done it maybe 3-4times before i realised i need to be little less aggressive on the shifting. unlike front engine cars where some of the torque goes from the engine-trans-diff- and released through wheel spin. In this car theres so much grip and no wheel spin= torque is transmitted back to trans, diff engine mounts etc.. just a theory actually but the car just dosnt feel good with this fast agressive shifts.

My workaround is to delay the shifting by just a little tiny weeny bit.my car is now 9000km old and clutch feels like new.

Smelling a little clutch is normal when driving it extremely hard, I've had that on just about all of my cars whether it's front engine or mid as well.

just drive the **** out of it and replace it when you have to...

some will last 20k, some 50k, some 5k... its a consumable like tires and brakes on the track.. so enjoy it while it lasts and 8,000+ rpm shifts are what these cars were made for

dont get me wrong i still love changing at 8k+ but i go easy on the clutch when shifting 1-2, the rest of the gears can take agressive shifts quite well.

you are rite i cant really enjoy the car if im not pushing it since all the torque is above 5-6k.the only prob is by the time i shift to 3rd im already over the speed limit. also because of the torque delivery the speeds you reach are very very deceptive, sometimes i dont realise the car is doing 200km/h+ until i look at the speedo.and because of that torque delivery the car just wants to rev rev rev all the time. its a car i miss driving everyday, even when its my dd.
