pca or poc?

i consider myself an "outlaw" porsche owner as i have modified every porsche i have ever owned over the last almost 40 years. my question is to all, which club best represents my perspective on porsche ownership and which club has more events that an "outlaw" might participate in for the sheer pleasure of driving these phenomenal cars?

i am currently a pca member but the region i belong to seems to be more into preservation then modification and hard driving.

i live in souther california and i know there are members out there that can help me. i would like to hook up with like minded porsche owners.

thanks

alan

I belong to both. PCA SDR has an event next Sat, May 8TH, close by you at Fontana. POC is at Big Willow this weekend. Memebership is so reasonable if you belong to both you can get as much driving as want.

Both groups have stock cars all the way through race cars so I am sure you will fit in with both.

Here are the links to the groups I find my driving events through.

i've heard the pca is more a wine and cheese club, in contrast to POC who likes to race! POC sounds a little more to your "outlaw" lifestyle. But toomey probably right, do both?

Only problem with POC is that it is filled with grumpy old-timers who do not take kindly to newbies posting better lap times than they do.

that's pretty funny! Your probably right! Actually though seems like more guys willing to help and teach, than there are grumps. I've had a really positive experience with POC
