Peter, I really hate you right now!

How do you take turn 7? You were going into it pretty fast, do you trailbrake?

7 is hairpin right? I just keep hard on the brake to get to nose to turn in, but not really trail braking much I think. I try to but the car won't trailbrake much with the heavy CUP LSD..

Yeah, it's the hairpin. I never tried to enter that turn with the brakes before, I'll try it next time It's the hardest turn for me... I always shift into second, I saw that you keep it in third

I went up a gear in T7, Bishop's bend all the way through 17 opposed to my laps before getting coached.

I think it shaved off at least 1 second and I will continue to go a little faster I think. It's much easier on the car and the Traqmate data proved it was faster.
Here are a few 2:21's the session before on my way to the 2:20's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vpz4D_iiUmE

It definitely is a lot easier on the car! I always shift down to second. I'm always thinking that it will not have enough torque to take the turn or loose time exiting the turn b/c of less torque in lower RPM.

I'm coming up to VIR in April for the David Murry event!
Have you signed up for something? No way you can make it in Jan or Feb?
I know that's work season, but maybe ship car, fly in and out, etc??

My fast lap to date:

Going for 2:199 in a few weeks at Winterfest, my theoretical best lap so far.
I hope it will be cold. Anyone else going?

That was a pleasure to watch right there. Amazing consistency. I don't think I've ever had two laps that close back to back. What tires were you running? Were you at Barber and or Road Atlanta recently?

Thanks.

I am running cheap 3 year old Toyo RA1's.
I shave them to 5/32 but just bought more unshaved ones because they last only 4 days on the rear. 245/40/18 and 335/30/18 in 3 piece BBS.

I went to RA this summer, but have not been to Barber yet.

It's on the todo list for next year.
