Well it's still got carpet, and AC, bumper supports, sunroof all factory body panels etc. I really haven't done anything drastic. I just really don't want to gut the car because I don't like the look of raw metal. I'm going to get rid of the sunroof and get a CF hood and a few other things. Need to shave about 100-150 lbs. Even after all that the car itself would be about 3125.

ya, the black is by far the best road car I have ever owned because it has all the feel of a solid track car...but with the creature comforts that as you can see, the racecar happens to go without. The pair together are unstoppable!

That is a bad dude

I don't know what you ended up paying for it, but it was a lot of car even for the asking price. Seemed like everything is relatively fresh on the car and it was maintained to a very high standard.

It is one of the fastest 996s I have seen (I keep my car out at MSR as well).

Prices for the 996 cup cars are so attractive right now. They are built like tanks. I am getting my motor rebuilt right now after getting close to 200 hours out of it. I have rarely had any issues with the car in general and it makes average drivers feel like superstars, once they get a little seat time and learn how to drive them. I hope to have mine back on the track again soon.

Have fun with it, and remember these cars like to be driven hard.

Ya, given its stats, its got to be one of if not THE quickest 996 cup out there and Im sure would give a 00-03 gt3-r a good run for its money. Im pumped for this season.
