If the dealer scratched your car, how you would you handle it?
when i picked up my brand new a4 3 years ago i found that the lot jockey had backed it into a pole....33km on the car and the rear bumper had about 30 scratches in ....also looked like they tried to buff it out before i picked it up. i made them repaint the bumper as the paint was fresh from the factory there wasn't too much of an issue but they did have issues with the phantom black blend. make them fix it and make them do it until its right
You’ve got it covered correctly. Just take them the car and they will fix. I’ve had two incidents with dealers, one was an overspray (from a car they where painting next to mine) and one was a crack in the dash (they where fixing the AC). Both where fixed with no problem. Luckily you caught it before you left. If not, good luck trying to claim they did it.
That sucks... but now is your chance to paint it red.
So long as they take care of it to your satisfaction. Definately push to take it to the bodyshop of your choice. I don't think you have much of a case for diminished value. Perhaps some freebies for mental anguish...

Agree, this is good advice. Once fixed to your standard, have them make you whole by offering you some goodies at cost or maintainance for free. It's easy for them to do this and that way you can all feel good/better about the situation. Good luck.
Well, I stopped by today to check in on it. It was already at the body shop.
They are apparently going to fill it with touch up and wet sand it down. The body guy (porsche approved) said that if they try to blend it there will most certainly be a line that is painfully visible since there isn't a break in the body panels in this instance. They promised it would look great and that I wouldn't be able to tell it had happened. I'm hoping that's the case.
I will definitely be asking for some concessions regarding some service and what not to make up for this drama.
I will say they have been very good so far and seem to be doing the right thing. I really like my service advisor and he seems to be on top of this.
This car is going to be a track monkey so I know its going to have some cosmetic wear and tear. I would just feel better if I was the one doing the wearing and tearing

Don't stress me out any more than I already am about stuff that hasn't even happened yet
