because a gt3 equivalent C6 time was posted for the ring

and because many of us have ordered z06's. and as to apples and oranges:

I owned 3 TT's back in 2001, but in 2005 it's a pretty rotten apple now compared to a 2006 z06!

and poor dock -- dont let those vettes threaten your TT. attack now whilst you still have a chance

Watt,

I don't think a Z06 will be quite GT2 fast, but we will see. Nothing in that Cadillac XLR chassis or suspension makes me think that it is good enough to beat a GT2. 10 seconds is a LOT. Look at the differences between the 996TT and GT2 in order to create that 10 second difference!

In any case, I will still make fun of you when you get yours just like when you were driving that Mustang Cobra for a while before you came to your senses and bought another GT2. Once again, you are one of the friends I can actually classify as a bona fide Ivy League redneck (what an oxymoron). GW has tried hard to be one, but you are the real deal.

No. It's not within 4 seconds of the GT3 at the Ring. It's at least 10 seconds behind, and that's with a driver that is not close to Walter Rohl experience at the Ring.

GT3: 7:49sec
GT3RS: 7:47sec
GT2: 7:46sec

997S: around 8 minutes.
