918 spyder preview at Monterey
Quail Lodge
The event is still at the Quail Lodge, great restaurant across the road. However I tried to reserve a room there this spring and was told the golf course is still open but the lodge was closed. You should check on line or call, might have reopened. The driving experience was about a mile from the lodge near a couple of display/auction sites.
I'll be down there and will be doing a full write-up on the Concorso, the Concours and perhaps some of the "extras" going on down there along with pics.
It's my favorite weekend, I can't wait!

The private viewing in Monterey is not at Quail. Unfortunately it does require an invitation/code that comes via Fedex. Not sure why they wouldn't just unveil it publicly at Quail? Anyway I believe that most of the Carrera GT owners received an invitation. I'm actually looking forward to the 918 viewing more than any other aspect of the weekend this year. According to the information provided the engineers that developed the car will also be present. Should be very enlightening especially since it's been given the green light now.
You going big guy? Val and I are attending the 21st in the morning. Not really sure why I'm flying to Miami to see the car. Since I have a small amount of pull, I've told em I WILL be driving the car. I don't think the performance is there, and my new GT2 RS seems on paper to be able to eat the car.

I will see what I can do on the driving. They laughed at me when I said I WAS driving the car. On an open runway.
Everything is going well, and the F40 event has become bigger than any of us expected. You shoud try to make it.
