They upcharged for white on 997 Gen1 RS so doesn't surprise me one bit. It's the Porsche way. Pick a popular basic color that is standard on virtually any other manufacturers offering and then upcharge the client $3k+ for it. It's called brandwashing; it's why Porsche kills every other car manufacturer on margins.

Bump. Paint to sample is NOT available in the US for the new 2 RS. Crap. No Mexico blue for me.

 

For what you pay for it you should be able to be in the paint booth if you wanted to let alone choose any color under the sun... Guess you can always have it wrapped...
