Does anyone have the scoop on which tire the new Michelin Pilot SuperSport is supposed to truely replace. Is it just a new gen of the PS2 (or replaced)...... or possibly something to be a gap between the PS2 and SportCups?

I ask because when the SCs wear out (soon I think) I may replace with something more road-going.

 

Hey neighbor, I think the Michelin PS3s are going to eventually replace the PS2's.....I had a similar discussion with geordie @ Butler tires in alpharetta the other day

 

Testing going on @ Dubai (I think) word is grip like PSC but a tread pattern like a PS2 for wet. The tire is already out for an F Car. Has to do with the new tire regs coming in europe. There is a discussion on Rennlist under track and racing by some of the people actually doing the testing.

I'll have to give Geordie a call on that one...... I love (I mean love) these OEM sport cups that came on the RS, but at the same time, dred the cost of replacing them. (I need the special-super-duper-expecting-dad-discount). Geordie that is.
