CPO adds roughly $2,000 from a reputable dealer. Much more than that and the buyer is being taken for a ride and it ain't a test drive.

I agree with your pricing for the CPO cars; $90k is a bit high, more like $85k as the ceiling, but a guess nonetheless.

All the more reason why .2s won't drop much more in the near term.

The price of the 997.2 GT3 will be supported by the 997.1 and 996 GT3s. I do not see any drastic future price drops happening.
Makes perfect sense to me.

The $25k delta between a .1 and .2 may be a lot but I feel my.2 is worth it.

How do you like the 2010 compared to your 997.1 GT3? do you find the extra $$ justified ? appreciate any input you can provide.
I just got the car yesterday and really did not have a chance to test it out on my favorite canyon roads. But I think the consensus is that the performance difference is noticeable.

The decision to buy the 997.2 did not come easily(I was debating whether I should get the 997.1 again or get the 997.2). I really thought about this a lot over the last week or so.

Since for me, having more performance does not necessarily equate to having more driving pleasure, the decision became even more difficult. But in the end, I think my decision to get the 997.2 was mainly because I had already owned the 997.1 and that I knew that I would not stop wandering about whether I should have gotten the 997.2.

I am sorry I could not give you a better response

Thanks.
which ever way you justify it- a newer model Porsche is always better overall car than the old one. At least that's what i am telling myself now and started to look at 2010's. Enjoy your car !

jimxyz is infamous around these parts
Man, if I didn't love my car, this thread would be even more depressing... Happy for you buyers - but for us hoping to move into an RS, it is tough to watch the prices (on our current cars) fall. I visited the dealer two days ago - McKenna - they had the exact .2 RS I want - but with a sticker of $165k, I'm a long way away!

Don't be in a hurry to get rid of your 2007 GT3. I still miss my 2007 Slate Gray GT3 even though I just got the 2010 White GT3.

I'm looking at an 07 or 2010 gt3 and would like to hear some more opinions on the differences owners have found and if the newer car is a worthy improvement.
