How similar is the GT3RS to the GT2
How similar is the GT3RS to the GT2
Obviously the engine is different but how much does the GT2 suspension, steering, brakes, transmission etc. resemble the GT3RS? Is it as 'race oriented' as the GT3RS?
I do not know much about the GT2, but since the new GT2 RS is supposed to be basically a GT3 RS with the Turbo engine, I would assume the GT2 is closer to the Turbo minus the all-wheel drive, and a little more HP.
GT2 is night and day diffrent and better than the turbo , it is more stable at high speeds and cornering.
On the track it is more sorted out the than .2 GT3 , i dont know about the RS
But i know that its a faster track car than the .2rs and .2 GT3 .. the only thing you need is some guts..

Well, it depends what gt2 you are talking about. The 2008 gt2 had a suspension that was considered an improvement over the 997 .1 gt3 and .1 gt3 RS (MY07 and MY08). Porsche incorporated some, if not all, of the '08 gt2 suspension tweaks when they improved the chassis of the .2 gt3 and gt3 RS, starting in MY2010. This accounts for the better ride and grip on the MY'10/'11 on the gt3's, including non-RS version. The RS is further aided by the wider front tires but its suspension equally benefits from what was 'learned' from the '08 gt2. z356
