Singer 911
cool car.. but at 200K I wonder how many they will sell especially in this economy and how the much it will depreciate 1-5 years out. For sure a special car for people of means that want something truly unique.
for me... 200K would get me a TT gallardo....

Excellence tested that car a few months ago. Other than some teething pains, they were very positive on the car. It has the looks and the performance. I think there is a small market at that price point of people that want a high end restomod. Not the same folks that would buy a modern car.
Amazing car... great blend of classic mixed with a dose of current generation details.
At $200k I wonder how well it would do...? Maybe the wealthy collectors will scoop it up. Too bad, because at $75-80K this would be a fantastic car for us 'enthusiasts'.... It begs to be driven, not parked and treated like a sculpture.

A Singer is not a Track car Tim......it is a collectable, it is custom made almost nothing is stock on it. It is made for a very very small group of enthusiast. Is it worth 200k? Not to me, but you will never see it in the 80-100k range new.

What I meant was as a non-collector like me, I would rather spent $130K on a modern RS that I can track all day long, than spend $200K on a collector car that I mainly admire in my garage... i.e. this is not a car for me.
I'd be smiling like the guy in the first couple pictures too if I could justify buying one of these. I saw it in person at Laguna Seca two years ago on a Saturday, took my wife back on Sunday to discuss things in greater detail...lets just say 200k just starts the conversation. Nonetheless its a thing of beauty. I know of two owners, one in SF and the other is out of Wisconsin.

No you won't. There's about that much in the engine and gearbox. It's an air-cooled enthusiast's vehicle. Air cooled guys spend that kind of money on their hot rods and racecars somewhat regularly. Really, it's the second $100k for the price of a Singer that's going to keep the car "exclusive" and limited production. Not many guys are going to write that check.
However, Paul Stephens in the UK has shown that these sort of retro-look high end bespoke vehicles do have a market. It's a limited market, but there's still a number of people who will get these cars built.

Matt Strong, who owns the car, has the means to track his modern cars (P cars and F cars) "all day long" and he has some cool stuff like this. So why not?
Real good guy too.
Jealous about what?
Do I care who has the means to track what??My point is very simple - this car is not worth $200K of my money. If you have a problem understanding me, then you have a problem.
Do you mean I have a problem because I don't understand you, or because I don't understand what you wrote?
In terms of the latter, if your point was so "simple", why has it taken 4 posts to explain it?
OK. Then you should have just wrote: "This car is not worth $200K of my money" and shut up!
