Thumbs down 4.0 litre GT3RS's going cheap in Aus!

Read this article after noticing the USA price for this same car and thought WTF! where does it stop.

Read and weep...

This is beyond rediculous! Our Aussie dollar buys 1.10 USD yet our Porsche prices are this? If ever you Americans have that moment when you think how are you ever going to afford one of these babies then count your lucky stars just how affordable these cars really are over your way.
Now get to it....and live the dream post haste.

-Anton- is infamous around these parts
Yes unfortunately this is the results of our awesome taxation system.

Remember the GT2 RS was 245,000 msrp in the states, yet the guys in Aus had to fork out around 650,000 for them.

Yep, taxation here is outrageous. The govt gets away with it mainly because theyve done it for so long and no one can seemingly do anything about it. No wonder chinese and korean cars are flourishing. Paying these $ for a P car is not something to forget in a huge hurry, especially after you pay the price only to then take the inevitable massive bath when you sell it for the next one. It really does make you wonder sometimes...
