1 800-PORSCHE Great Help

Last week my 08 GT2 wouldn't start but I could hear a relay or some electronic device under the dash clicking and the wipers ran and the windows went up and down slightly. My impression was that there was some electrical short etc.
I called for a tow and the gentleman on the other end told me he thought it was a dead battery. Rather than risk the car getting damaged during a tow, I installed a new Porsche battery and it solved the problem. I then took it into the dealer to have the charging system checked and it was OK so it was just a three year old battery issue.
The rep on the 800 line also told me to call back if I had any problems installing the battery (which I did not have) and they would walk me through it.
It's good to know that this number is not just an 'answering serivice'

I only had to call once and they transferred me to the local dealer. They seem to know how to diagnose the problem on the phone rather than just calling up a tow truck. In this age, it's hard to find good service. Props to PNA for keeping it up
