NWD; 18" Forgeline WC3R for 997.2 GT3RS
Woohoo! Jeff Alton at Pacific Western Performance, Inc., deserves big kudos for putting this package together for me. Communication was very good and pricing was the best I could find for a high quality forged wheel set (9x18 & 12x18).
Jeff had them dropped shipped to me saving significant time in transit since I live in the same state (Ohio) as Forgeline (packaged very nicely I might add). They will be mounted/balanced later this week (and TPMS added) in preparation for our annual trek to the 2012 edition of the PBOC Winterfest at Sebring.
I have been using the stock wheels and OE MPSC tires since I got the car in November 2010. 4 track days a Sebring, 6 days at Mid Ohio, and 3 days at Putnam Park and they still have some tread. I am switching to Kuhmo V710 (245/40R18 Squared Shoulder & 315/35R18 Rounded Shoulder) for the 18" Forgelines. The 315/35R18 is actually as wide as the 325/30R19 MPSC and the overall diameters of both front and rear are virtually identical to the OE MPSC. Not certain why more people aren't trying this combination. I have used V710s on previous cars and was quite happy. I hope they are equally satisfying on the RS.
Hope to see you at Sebring.

Thanks. Not certain of the name of the color but supposed to be same red used on the factory RS wheels. I placed them next to the OE wheels and they matched very nicely.

See you all at Sebring. A Happy, Healthy New Year to all.
A couple of cool pics of the RS on the lift. Amazing how aerodynamic the under tray is when viewed from the leading edge (front).
