the plate thing is in a thread in the Lambo section here (titled NEW PICS!!)....
3-digit plates atart at USD 25K-75KUSD (if you have repeat digits or somehting itgoes up)
2-digit plates start at USD100K-.... (again repeat digits or 69, etc. are a lot more)
Some 4-digit plates cane reach USD25K, e.g. 9119 went for USD22K last auction!! (of course, a P owner got it and hes my friend)

I mean c'mon, $25k-200k for a number plate that has no added value to the owner in terms of performance or appearance! You end up paying for upto 8 years of full coverage insurance for a plate just so people when they look at it they say "Wow what a number?", "He must be someone special!"
Well, I ain't someone special, and screw those people for all I care.
I bought the CGT for my enjoyment only! No other reason.
The minute people contribute financially to my purchase of a "special plate", then, and only then, I would consider buying a silly number for their viewing pleasure.
P.S. For $200k I would buy a Cayenne Turbo and an M5 and add them to my fleet of cars!

No offense intended, but I think this "special plate" issue in Dubai is way over rated and way over priced as well.
