Shark Werks bypass vs GMG WC Sport Center

Hi guys, I have 2010 997 GT3RS 3.8. And thinking of changing the centre muffler to either Shark Werks Bypass pipe or GMG WC Sport Center section or other brand:

http://www.sharkwerks.com/products.php?pid=153

http://www.gmgracing.com/porsche_exh...c9972gt3.shtml

Or any other X-Pipe like RRS or Fabspeed :
http://rss.rpmware.com/rss/rss_gt3_x.../i-291991.aspx

http://www.fabspeed.com/997GT3_997GT3RS.html

Please advise which brand is better, thank you.

IMO there is no "better" X-pipe to get. All the pipes perform the same basic function, look good, sound good and save weight. It comes down to good customer service with your order, quick order fulfillment, quality welds, sound, tech support if needed and what pipe has the look you are looking for. I would say the big three are RSS, Sharkwerks and GMG.

For the record, I have used RSS and GMG. I like the service I get from RSS and they are also one of the few that make in house what they sell.

Good luck

I'm sure someone will get there feelings hurt. My answer is what it is. It's not some magical part that "makes" 50 HP, it's a pipe. You can only make it with in a narrow set of ideals. Quality, service, sound, looks, there's not much left.

Life is tough, wear a cup.

Troy is right. It's mainly just a pipe. OBTW, my wife has my balls. No cup needed.

Have you considered keeping your center muffler and deleting the side mufflers? We offer our StreetCup side muffler delete kit for all 997.1 and 997.2 GT3/RS. One of the largest benefits are a 50 lbs weight reduction off the back of the car...where it counts. We modeled our StreetCup system after Porsche's factory 997 GT3 Cup Car. This is a great way to retain that beautiful 11pound titanium center muffler and get an HP increase as well.

Interesting. But will this burn out the filling in the center TI muffler?

Only thing I don't like about side muffler delete is the button on the car no longer works. So you can't tone down the car if you have a female guest yelling at how loud the car is, or not. Might as well get a full track exhaust.

Betim,

This is the direction I am considering, however I have also heard the TiN OEM center section will crack. Have you found this to the true?

Just put a couple Glass Packs on it or even a Cherry Bomb(s).

GMG Center Pipe installed.

Wow, angry growling at idle, insane howling when gun it.

Floor it couple times in my office building 5th floor parking, then a guy in next building yelling WTF to me.

2nd gear going up over pass, the COPs from a road block on another over pass all turn their head to search what car just pass by :D

All above I though it was on sport mode. But there is not different between Sport and Non-Sport mode. So I email GMG, and GMG email back the proper cause and a video to explain the cause. What a service

Drove to P car center, and they found the RHS exhaust valve is leaking.

Wow, imagine if the sport mode is working, what kind of thunder it will bring
