CGT Sold!!!
CGT Sold!!!
Sold mine last week to Tom Wms Porsche (Birmingham) after 4 glorious months of ownership. ~ $400,000. They had a buyer who definitely wanted Seal Gray/blk. They had a '05 GT Silver on the showroom floor.
Reasons; my sweetheart (wife) didn't like all the pomp and circumstance whenever she or I drove it basically. It didn't bother me and my kids loved it. And as you all know the ride/experience is phenomenal.
Picked up a 997 S Cab Blk/Blk as a replacement. Currently adding PSE, short shift and nav. Will be finished by Jim Ellis Porsche in Atlanta w/i 2 weeks. By the way Jim Ellis still has 2 CGT on the floor, Basalt Blk and GT Silver at list price.
May consider a F430 in 2 - 3 years as a more subdued mode of transportation.
Thnx to everyone for their interesting points of interest and knowledge.
I'll change my signature line when I pick the Cab up next week.

i'm shocked to hear you sold it given how much it seemed you liked it. i know what you mean though, i had at least two camera phone/videos taken of my car today during a mere 15 mile stretch of highway along with an older RX7 cutting in and out of traffic trying to get within view of it. it does garner a lot of attention - more so than even the stradale which really surprises me. if you couldn't get used to it in the CGT though, i think you will find the 430 unpleasant for this reason as well.

Carmel,
i don't think u can hide the 430 as it being louder than the CGT. i saw a red hot spyder that thing sure grab attention.
Carmel: thats a good price, there is a dealership here selling the CGT for 414,000 after more than 4 months of ownership, the owner of the dealership drove it for some miles. My friend wanted to get it but he didn't let him take it for 400k cash

In my line of work I have to cover 7 offices and enjoyed putting ~ 2100 miles on the odometer. I would use my alternate mode of transportation (Cayenne Turbo) when in stealth mode. I truly enjoyed and respected the CGT; a phenomenal machine.
As per your comment Ben re people taking pictures, that was an every hour occurance. The car is like a magnet in Atlanta. Not a bad thing, just something my wife felt uncomfortable with. And she's a Plastic Surgeon who does a ton of cosmetic surgery (breast, nose, tummy-tucks, etc.).
I actually found this ironic.
Such is life.
Enjoy
