I too am curious. Having a 997 GT3.1, I feel it is a thrill for occasional use, but have found it is a little loud for a daily driver and it has a drone at a certain RPM.

Wondering if any one here has owned both and can compare their perception of the sound?

Dr Peter, don't tell me your car is stock. If so, then you need to get used to it as it's as quiet as it's going to get. I'm sure the .2 isn't any quieter. Most remove the rear center muffler for an even louder experience. I did this but am returning the car to stock this week. I too like the sound but sometimes it's a bit much.

OK, thanx for the reality check. The Cargraphic kit 3 with flapper valve is installed. I purchased the exhaust because the stock 3.5k RPM drone was killing me. Living 10 miles from work doesnt give me the opportunity to go to redline often and 3.5k RPM's is close to the speed limit for most of my ride.

However, as I remember, there did not seem to be that much difference in loudness with the Cargraphic flappers on quiet vs the stock exhaust. Guess, I have to find someone local with the stock exhaust to compare to.

I've had both mk.I and mk.II GT3/GT3RS. Both had GMG bypass and driven almost exclusively in sport mode. The mk.II seems to have a deeper tone. Still has the typical Porsche high pitch but not as high as the mk.I. My hearing isnt the best so ymmv.
