CGT Crash on the Pelican board
This is just awful. I never met Ben, never even spoke with him other than a few posts here and there and maybe a PM or two, but this really hits home. This is just so very, very sad.
R.I.P Ben ....
If there is anything I can do to help please PM me.

This was the first time I ever got to meet up with him in person over the memorial day weekend.... Most of us gathered there to eat together unknowingly to us all it was our last meal together at Ruby's for breakfast...... Memorial day to me has always been a time to remember my brothers who were lost in the service but today marks a new memory in my calendar.
I have no words for what I’d like to say, only because there is nothing that can be said that can take the place of such a gentleman. I can sadly say that I personally would like to convey my condolences to the family and all of his friends (6-speed members who knew Ben and those who have had the pleasure of speaking with him across the country/world).
I want to say that he passed doing what he loved and that was driving. I’ve always said that if I could pick one way to go it would be driving….. Ben until we meet again may you rest in peace brother……
R.I.P.
Respectfully,

I have tears in my eyes as I write this. I witnessed the whole thing.
IT WAS NOT BEN'S FAULT!!! THE ORGANIZER HAD PICKED THE 150MPH ZONE AS THE ENTRANCE TO THE TRACK AND THE F-CAR DRIVER PULLED IN FRONT OF HIM NEAR THE END OF THE STRAGHT. THERE WERE NO CORNER WORKS AND NO FLAGS!!! HE TRIED TO AVOID HIM AND SPUN OUT AND HIT THE WALL AT NEARLY THAT SPEED.
The passenger died instantly on impact. Ben was airlifted to the hospital, but still had a pulse when they took him so PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM AND HIS FAMILY.
PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS POST AND DO NOT MAKE THIS INTO A CIRCUS OUT OF RESPECT FOR THE FAMILIES. PLEASE!!!!!
I will not be responding to any questions

This is truly a tragic loss, Everyone on this forum holds one thing in common, Our unbridled love for cars. Losing someone who is part of that interaction is like losing a member of your family even if you never met them. I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to ben's family and his friends, A comrade has fallen we all feel this loss.
I'm amazed and saddened. It could have easily been any of us. I was lapping Barber MSP in a CGT just last week with a pro at the wheel, what a rush. Ben died doing one of his life's passions. We should all be so lucky as to live a long life, and enjoy it to it's fullist everyday.
oh my god...
I'm rather new to these forums, and if there's one member I think of when i think of 6speed, it'd be Ben. This is so hard to believe... It's so sad that it wasn't even his fault... RIP..

My prayers go out to his family as well. I haven't posted much on this board, but have been browsing around for quite a while, and know what an important presence Ben had on this board.
