CGT or other super car on order....
#16
if I buy a CGT from an individual collector rather than from a dealer(i.e. business), I pay ZERO sales tax since I'm a resident of GA.
I bought my 996 from a guy in NC at a heck of a price at the time. It was 6mos old with 3K on the odometer and ZERO sales tax! Makes it a no brainer when it comes to purchasing vehicles. The only reason didn't buy used for the cayenne was that we couldn't find one with all of the options that we wanted
Still, even if the car hasn't really depreciated that much(less than 6mos old) you still save tons on teh ZERO sales tax - gotta love GA

In the words of my father, one of the most revered investment bankers in the US he simply states in his heavy southern drawl
"the only things in life that you should carry a note on is your residence, because everything else is considered a liability"
I agree, if you can't write a check for your toys, which cars are, you are simply outta your league, trying to be something youre not and living above your means will eventually bring you down in flames. Do you have any idea how much intrest you are throwing away on these long term car notes, esp when you add up that instead of paying interest on a rapidly deprec asset, you could be investing that same $$ in something.
