996 Gt3 Owners--susp Question?!!

Will soon be a GT3 owner....

Is the OEM suspension rebound/compression, height, camber adjustable?

Anyone do aftermarket (MOTON, JRZ) MODS?

I did JRZ doubles and a full Cup/RSR suspension with solid everything. Very happy with the outcome (this is for track only). JRZs or Motons with sane spring rates can improve the car for the street, but it's a costly improvement over an already very capable car.

The Racers' Group or ERP are the usual sources. I am *very* happy with the JRZs (formerly used ProTracs on the 993 RS project car). I might have a set of new triples I can put you onto if you're feeling flush Leave a PM if u want me to check on them.

Ride height, camber, toe, etc are adjustable. Rebound and compression is not.

everythign is adj except rebound and compression.

i have moton clubsport on mine. regardless of what spring rate you use, the car will be noiser. i don't drive mine much on the street. it lives for track.

If I were to redo the suspension, I would do the GT3RS kit. It's geometry is different and superior to stock(control arms, wheel carriers ect). You could always put in ajustible dampening shocks after the fact. The important thing is the geometry change, imo...
Not that I see any point in changing mine out yet. Need alot more track experience/time to justify it...

From what I hear, the best mod is the RS lightwqeight Fly/clutch. Tranforms the car's acceleration response in the lower gears according to people who have done it. I have a small RMS leak, so when they drop the tranny to replace the seal, I am going to have them do the RS fly. Awaiting approval from my dealer to do this. Apparently they are checking with PCNA

I would be interested to know PCNA's response. Please keep us up to date.

I ask my dealer yesterday after they aline the car if they could put in the RS Clutch and Fly wheel and he told me that as long they are all Porche parts he didn't had any problems and my warranty will still be OK. So I think these is going in the next months
