997.1 GT3 Bleed Clutch

I just got a 2007 997.1 GT3. I bled all of the brakes and now I want to bleed the clutch.

I had a 2007 911 S, but the clutch bleeder valve on the GT3 does not seem to be on the same place.

Does anyone know where the clutch bleed valve is? Passenger side? Driver side? Any pictures? I am lost.

If it is like my 6GT3 it is best approached from the passenger side and it is located on top area of the transaxle near the clutch housing. Not an easy access. Sorry I don't have a picture.

You have to pull the plastic panel that provides access to the transmission and fill plug. On the top drivers side of the transmission you can locate the bleeder valve. Believe it is toward the front of the axle, but at the top. Another description is it is between the fill plug and the axle at the top. Hard to see, you can with a mirror or simply by feel.

Thank you. I tried looking in that area, but didn't see anything. It looked like there were a lot of things in the way. Can you get your hand up there to reach the bleed valve? Much less a ratchet?

My car is at the dealer getting bled this time, but I want to do it myself from now on so I don't have to take to dealer.

Get a mirror on a expansion stick and poke around until you see it. Once you see it you will always remember where it is and it will be easy from that point forward. You can get a wrench on it as well. Good luck.
