Request to Porsche - add LATCH system in back of the GT3
I really want to get the 991 GT3 when it comes out but now with a wife and kid, even the P car will have to have a rear seat. I know I know people will tell me to go get a Turbo. But I liked my '04 GT3 so much more than my '08 Turbo, I'd prefer to get back into a GT car, if possible. Since the 3 will come with no seat cushions in the rear, this actually would give the baby seats more room in the back. All Porsche has to do is to add the LATCH system which consists of just two metal bars for the child seat to clip onto, and that would add maybe a 1/4 pound to the total weight of the car? That's one way to make the GT cars appeal to a much broader spectrum of buyers as many of their target customers are now having kids.
I have seen threads on back seat installs but all I want is just having the LATCH bars installed, wonder if the mounting holes are already there in the frame and all one has to do is to buy the parts? Any advise to this parent that still want to make the GT3 a "family" car?

Not legal in this country to have occupants in the back. Cars were imported as 2 seaters. This would pose a huge liability issue in an accident, potentially voiding your coverage completely.
How do i know? Happened to a friend w a 2007 gt3, actually had dealer installed rear seats, accident w somebody else's kid in the back, lawsuits, ins dropped all bc of the back seat liability issue. Final cost 200k.
If you need a backseat, can't stand the tt, get a 991s w a powerkit, that's your best option.
