You didn't even get to drive the 997 and have been waiting for so long to get it back from Switzer. You should keep it for some time, especially after all the mods in my opinion. You can always trade it in for a GT-R later. Congrats on the 3, it's the best of 991 line imo.

Thanks, bro. Yeah, I've pretty much decided I'm keeping the 997.

Hey Scott what do you do with all that HP? The GT3 will feel like a scooter to you.

The big HP cars are for straight line stuff only. I go to Texas every year to attend the TX2K events and anything under 900whp really isn't competitive.

I expect the GT3 will be the perfect complement to my monster 997. The lightweight feel, the sharp handling, the redline, the sound...I can't wait!

On a related note, I'm getting leather with deviated stitching. I think I'll regret it if I don't.

Interesting!

I am getting the red seat belts with deviated stitching. I do not plan to order the adaptive seats. The regular ones will do unless they are able to certify the sport buckets seats which are a must in a car like the GT3.

I plan to get the sport chrono basically a time watch for $400. I think it would be nice to have.

I am still debating about the LED lights which are $3300 option but may go with them because gives the car a more aggressive and modern look. Also, will get the 90L gas tank and Porsche communication plus system.

Not sure about painted silver wheels option. I thing the standard wheels look a little dull but need to see them in the flesh.

FWIW, I also thought I would get the clear lenses but those who have seen clear lenses tell me not to do so.

Meet you at VIR in the spring. That's what the 991 GT3 was built for.

Pretty funny. I've been following your mods since the M3 board and now here. You started off with only two options and by the 3rd page you already have exhaust and stitching. By page 5 it will be a 200k build with a paint to sample color.

I got my wife a S8 this year so I have to delay my Targa 4S or 991 tt till 2015 so I will live vicariously through you.

Best of luck.

Scott, if you get rid of the GTR all those "I'll always have one in my garage" GTR defense posts will have so much less validity.

Congrats, you've got plenty of time to figure out this horrible dilemma you've decided to burden yourself with.

Eric, when are you going to post some videos of that orange beast in action? Sounds like you are baiting Scott so you can sick that monster on him.

Sounds like a great spec, bro. I'd love to do the LEDs as well, but I can't justify $3300 for them. Ouch!

You got it, brother. I can't wait to track this car.

LOL, I'm really going to keep the options low, I mean it!

I know, I know. Truth is, I really don't want to get rid of the GT-R. I drove it last night to/from dinner and played a little bit on the way home. It's a thrilling car at the current power level. Maybe I can figure something else out. We'll see.

Hell, I'd enjoy just watching Eric's Z06 in action on a roadcourse.

Scott way to go! Congrat! I also did the same as you today, but I selected 5 options. I envoy you that those options in my country are a lot more expensive than those in US.

I think that's pretty much a given.
Or did you mean is there a markup?
