Stop posting pictures of those damn wheels. I already called my local shop for a quote on a set because of you.

Thank you Eric @ SUPREME POWER PARTS for all the help on these wheels!!!!!

Painted my stock Guards red mirrors to matte black.

Also today had my CAE shifter and CAE shifter cables installed by my master PORSCHE mechanic DUSTIN @ NEILLO PORSCHE (pic of Dustin below after cable and shifter install).

Everything said is true..... the car should of came with this shifter, and the car should of definitely come from the factory with the cup cables. My take is that the cables made the big difference and that the Motorsport cables and CAE cables are essentially the same. Both have that rifle bolt feel and action. The shifter itself is a work of art and is in a different world in itself with the shifter closer to the steering wheel.

Thats all for now for updates. Thanx for tuning in on my personal build.

Very welcome John! Enjoy those new shoes! Your build is looking amazing!

Update on build.

Only received one seat from Recaro USA for now, but the Recaro profi race Hans spa is truly a tighter fit from the euro clubsport/Carrera GT 1 piece buckets.

Ok, finally received my passenger side RECARO pro racer Hans spa and now I can install it with my Safecraft Fire extinguisher.

For bucket seat install on a road going GT3 with FIre Extinguisher mount this is what i did. I opted for a fire extinguisher mount under the seat that slides with the seat because I didnt want to have a Fire Extinguisher projectile in case I was in an accident.

I used OEM 996 GT3 manual sliders for the Euro GT3 buckets

I used Brey Krause side mounts for RECARO SPG/SPA (Brey Krause has side mounts for all RECARO/OMP/SPARCO seats tpes) which I told them i needed custom on both sides to have the screw hole for the OEM SCHROTH harness side belt attachments and seat belt receptacles. I also took the liberty of drilling .5" holes lower on the rear and front of the side mounts to lower the seat more.

I used the OEM 996 sub belt bar

and for the passenger side I used the RENNLINE fire extinguisher underseat mount which is customized for the 996/997 OEM manual sliders for the euro GT3 996/997 1 piece buckets. (SHARKWERKS doesnt fabricate their underseat Fire Extinguisher mount any longer and the only 2 underseat fire extinguisher mounts that are available are Rennline and Brey Krause. Rennline u have to use the OEM sub bar and for the Brey-krause you have to use the Brey-Krause sub bar.

Hope this info helps any future modding for anyone installing aftermarket 1 piece bucket seats.

That is it for the modding this year and try to enjoy the car as much as possible.

Next year mods are probably 4.0 clutch and RSS suspension bits.

Definitely nice to be back Alex and crew at Sharkwerks.

Thanx Alex for for the talking with me about the Fire Extinguisher mount last week..... Since u guys no longer make the Sharkwerks Fire Extinguisher mount for the under the seat I found that the Rennline design was similar to yours. It worked perfectly with the OEM sub mount bar and sliders. We talked about the Breu-Krause sub mount bar with Gire Extinguisher mount, but just didn't like the style. Thanx again for your help and recommendation.

I heard from a little bird that a 4.1 liter was in the works...... Might have to be my next mod in a few years...... Time to start saving!!!!!

Wow, looks like you are close to a cup car! What do the buttons on your steering wheel do? That will be a fast car! Congrats
