This interests me as I'm trying to justify buying a gt2/3 as a sparingly driven investment vehicle. I'm thinking the 2s might appreciate a bit more just because the turbo cars seem to outpace the na cousins.

Interesting to look at this thread, with decent cars now selling at $80k plus, sort of answers the questions being asked in 2013. I think what is happening is people realize this generation absent all the computer interventions may well be the last classic GT car. I own a 996 and a 991 GT3 and for me the 991 is my go to for track and to drive for fun, but this is not to say the 996 in some ways is more exciting, engaging and crazy good. So for now keep them both, see where it all goes.
