What is the standard practice to measure the thickness of the ROTORS? Is a Micrometer used or are the rotors weighed? tks

You can measure the thickness with a micrometer or digital caliper. Even better, use a digital rotor gauge, which is a caliper with little jaws to clear the lip on the rotor.

^ right... every rotor has a weight on it and that would be the best way of judging it's life too
