It's official, I will have a new 991 GT3 coming in the spring!
yes makes sense, buy the front lift...you will thank yourself later
You will scrape the front end with or without the lifter. The only time a lifter makes sense is if you are facing daily very steep inclines into your driveway/garage/work. Otherwise, IMO a waste of money.
Although I don't have a 991, my 997.2 GT3 RS has the front nose lift and I use it with regularity. Although I cannot say that I use it every time I drive the car, it's very nice to have for parking lots and any place you don't normally go.
Granted I didn't pay for it as a new option since it came on my pre-owned car, but I think it's a pretty useful mod if you actually plan to drive your car a fair amount. Meaning, the more you plan to treat your GT3 as a 'normal' car, the more useful this mod will be.
The argument can be made that it's indeed more weight and complexity for sure, but my 60k car has never had the nose lift serviced (I have all the service records). So, choose wisely!

Although it doesn't make sense dollar wise I did change the order to include front lift as I hate the idea of scraping the spoiler and at the end of the day the actual spend vs the total cost is relatively insignificant.
Update
I just heard from my dealer, apparently the PTS deadline was Missed, means that I will be going with a different color choice ( good news the car will arrive much earlier) I'm leaning to Agate Grey, but I haven't seen the color in person. Opinions?

I agree though that agate grey is pretty conservative, seems to show the lines nicely though but honestly pretty dissapointed that the PTS was screwed up ( they admitted they FD up) and I'm not prepared to wait until 2015, again I still get a new GT3 so as my mom would say, " shut up and say thank you". I have as alternative choices, the Agate Grey, Guards Red, GT. Silver ( same as my 997. TT). The Racing Yellow seems too toyish and the Sapphire Blue seems to hide the lines.
Can someone explain how the PTS window works? I was considering it as well but was told cut off was Dec 20. Is there rhyme or reason to the length of delay to build time for an approved 991 color? 3-6 months just seems a bit outlandish.
Never ordered PTS before so appreciate the insight.

I am #7 for a GT3 at my dealer
