Maintenance of a GT3

I now the GT3 has not arrived yet but I am expecting mine August. When I owned my 997.2 is love the fact that its maintenance is just like my BMW or MB.

Hows the cost for maintaining a GT3 for the previous model? Any special service you have to do yearly.

Do they have a yearly fluid "BS" like an F430?

It all depends on what kind of driving you do. If the car is used only on the street, then maintenance is like that of other 911's. On mine, the owners manual specifies an interval of 12,000 miles for "minor" service and 24,000 miles for "major" service. However, if you do lots of track days, then that goes out the window and you'll be doing lots of regular service (fluid changes, brakes, tires, etc.).

Most likely I would track the car once a year as I am 300 miles from the nearest speedway.

So it would be like any regular car I have. You abuse it, it will bite you but if you treat it good, it will not lighten your wallet.

F430, 2.5K every year.

For the previous gen ones the most important thing is the coolant pipe fix (engine out 2.7k-ish). Other than that, change your oil. Take care of your clutch/trans and that'll work great. They're quite trouble/maintenance-free for what they are.

For the 991 versions we don't yet know but I doubt it'll veer far from that....
