For those of you who live in an area with less than perfectly flat roads, chances are, you've scraped your front lip. And not just once, but countless times. Perhaps to the point of no return. The stock lip for the 997.1 GT3 isn't very durable and after some consistent wear, it starts to look quite pathetic.

Therefore, after hearing about the durability of the cup lips, I decided to install one on my GT3. Structurally speaking, it has been fantastic for me, despite the lower stance it puts on the car (more scraping). Unfortunately, it's still susceptible to scuff marks.

My solution? Spray it with plastidip or it's better successor, Raail (see: Raail.com). I took my rims to Eclipse Auto Spa in Dallas to have them sprayed with black raail and asked the owner to spray the lip as well. Before I give you the results, I have to fully endorse the owner of the shop. He's a stand up guy that cares about his work. He washed and waxed my car free of charge because he wanted me to see the finished product in its best light and was a fan of my car. His facilities are top notch. I was so impressed that I already set up another appointment for next week. FWIW, I visited a few other shops and didn't feel comfortable having anyone work on my baby, that is until I went to Eclipse. Anyways, without further adieu...

As you can see, the final product looks amazing. I will let everyone know how long it lasts. Apparently Raail can withstand a serious beating.
