Got Mine!

After nearly a year wait since I first spoke to my dealership, my car was finally delivered to me last week. I've put about 400 miles on the car so far and it is truly a special machine. I have always been a manual guy, but this PDK-S compliments the new motor incredibly well. Porsche really hit the mark on the feel of the combination from the incredible sounds of the transmission and exhaust to the tactile feel of the shift paddles.

I had a 2014 Carrera S loaner for 3 months and I loved that car. The new GT3 is just a totally different animal and so much more enjoyable. The differences between the PDK in the S and the PDK-S in the GT3 is night and day, in sound, shift speed and dynamics. It literally feels like a manual starting out in first...no creep at all.

All I can say, if you are waiting for this car, the wait is well worth it. Best car, by far that I have ever driven.

Thanks guys! Yes, I love that road. I can get to it in about 10 minutes from my house. Yesterday I went up for fun and some guy in an Audi S4 was egging me on pretty bad. Still in break in so never had it over 4500 rpm - still pretty fast considering. He was driving like an A$$ though. When I went back down after a turn out he had already turned around and was in front of me. A poor SUV driver in front of him was pissed. He kept accelerating really fast on him then braking hard until the SUV pulled over. Pretty stupid considering this road has several turns with no room for error.

That may be one aspect of the car I don't like - the attention from A$$hats like that.

Get used to it unfortunately. Great car but I think thats obvious. I think it will get 2014 car of the year.

Yes, I'm not sure how all these folks drive without. I guess if you don't care about scraping at every curb entrance or looking like a fool at speed bumps, then don't get the lift. I use mine every day.

Thanks for your feedback.

I'm struggling with this option....just doesnt seem like 1.2" of lift will make that much of a difference, but most people share your feelings.

If its not too much trouble would you mind measuring the height of the spoiler from the ground when its in the down position?

With mine I just barely make it into my mom's driveway. Without the lift I'd have to park on the street. And that is one of many.
