To Wrap or not?

My GT3 arrives December 12 or so and will take to Premier to have the front wrapped.

Question is, do gt3s have clear film protection ahead of rear fender same other 911s? If so, is it worth wrapping the whole car, just the front or front and rockers back to and replace rock guard for the rear fender?

I say no to wrap but would really consider it if I was near Premier. Yes, there are factory installed stone guards just behind the doors.

When Premier does it no one can tell its there. I still clay and wax but no need to ever polish. My other Porsche did not have it at first until I caught a stray rock off of a truck coming from the opposite direction. Got it repaired then wrapped.

It's peace of mind and if you cannot stomach rock chips or swirls, wrap it

Front and rockers at a minimum. Xpel has a pattern for the entire quarter including the rocker and outer roof trim between the seam and the top of the door in one piece.

I'm getting mine done in a couple of weeks with Expel. Just doing the front end though.

Definitely get it wrapped. It's worth the money to protect the paint.

How much does the Expel wrap cost? I'm thinking it's much better than the so called clear bras. I remember having 3M clear bra on my 997tt. It was a must because it was black and I couldn't stand swirl marks. But I got it on a white C4S and it started to discolor about a year after.

2900 for back to the doors and can discolor but have had on a white car for 2 years and still could not tell it was there. If it sits in the sum every day this would make a difference. 8500 to wrap the whole car. This is from one of the highest quality installers as I have had cheaper ones done in the past and these guys work looks better than without or at least can not tell it is there.

I say do the entire car. I've had it done for 4 of my cars and all done by Premiere. They are the chosen one among those who are pickiest. I've used them for many years and their service is top notch. Reference their website here and you know what I'm talking about: www.premiermobilegroup.com

I will be bringing my GT3 to them to get the entire car protection when it arrives in January (hopefully before xmas - )

My 997 was $4800 to do Xpel ultimate.. full car. This is from the shop that does all of the local exotics, and I believe Porsche refers to them as well. $8500 sounds too high. That was more than the quote on 458.

I'm leaning toward not doing it on my incoming car. Isn't it much less $ just to have any chips touches-up by professional now and then?

I know, blasphemy! It just seems like when you're talking about spending 3-8k to wrap these things that were talking a lot of coin.
