next car after 991 targa GTS for track only

i have a very nice 991 Targa GTS manual that seems to be too nice for regular track days.

i'm looking for a slighly cheaper, but faster car just for the track. it seems like a used GT3 is the way to go, but the main question is whether i get a relatively new one (last model that was available in 6 speed manual) or get a 10 year old one and spend the difference on the inevitably high maintenance bills.

i'm not mechanically inclined at all and will be having all work done by racing shops in CT.

will be a track only car, but i'd like to be able to drive it the 30 minutes to lime rock

any tips (whether to lean older or newer and what i should spend)?

is ebay a reasonably place or should i have my garages keep an eye out (and probably pay more)?

Thanks,
Mike
