Lime Rox Raceway Park 11/05/05
Just got some pics back from that most awesome day. Performed much better at this track than the Glen. Being dry helps....
The last car is a full out race 944 turbo PCA GT1R class with CF body, cage, race suspenion, slicks and 680 hp at the crank. His front tires are bigger than my rear 295's It's a Farnbacher Loles car. Awesome driver....Spencer ***. He instructed me for one session...big help then took me for the wildess ride I have ever had on this earth...doing 57second laps at Lime Rock. That's me riding shotgun...hehe

I am soooo fortunate to have had a taste of the "edge" riding in his 944...Something to look forward too when I'm on slicks and a well sorted suspension for said tires...At least a year away. I plan on doing the 3 day Skippy Racing School in the Formula Dodge's next year.... The Rock is only an 1hr40min drive from my house. I am coronating it as my hometown track

ps: just bought rear monoballs and cup car toe arms(heim jointed) with dual adjustible eccentrics on each side. Yahoo!
Rockitman, do yourself a favor. When you do Skippy, ask for my good friend, Bruce Macinnes. Tell him Jay Putnam ( Red 356 ) sent you. He might take you under his wing, and show you the fast way around LRP.
LRP the most beautiful place on the planet...

Glad you had fun Chris, I don't really care for LRP anymore, the place is in such poor shape, and they don't care to fix it, yet they charge each driver a 'resurfacing fee'. Wait until you do WGI on a nice day, you'll never go back to that piehole again, esp after the new track in NJ opens!
I would like to see how the track in NJ compares. LRP's problem is they have been fixing it up too much in the last 5 years. Next thing you know they will pave the paddock or something....Daytona its not, a good thing...
The preponderance of the surface damage is from the Busch North series that has its season finale every year in Oct. at LRP.
Anyway next to the Glen, and the Old Bridgehampton track LRP is the most laid back, family/camping kind of track I grew up with.
Just my .02 worth. Lime Rock is an awesome track.

WGI, the NJ track is gonna be phenominal, and the locals love it, can't say the same for lrp, last time I was there people had 'close the track'signs in their front yards. Also, just over the hill they're building a complex of million dollar McMansions, it's days are numbered. They're also talking about an even more severe noise nb level. FWIW, I don't think they've repaved squat for several years, they do the bare minimum.
i did not find any problems with the track condition when I was at LRP 11/5. In the corners, I'm on the concrete anyways for the majority of the corner after turnin...It's only 1hr40min from my house, so I have adopted LRP as my home track. I love it. Can't wait for the Glen, so I can get more experiencce there...
Rockitman,
Spencer was my first DE guy at The Glen a few years ago. Great guy, awesome driver. I have to agree with others, however, The Glen is must better than Lime Rock. Longer, more technical. I love that track.
C4S Surgeon,
I must be lost. Which track in NJ are you guys talking about? You're not talking about the one being built in the Poconos, are you? Please advise.
