I agree. I'll track the GT for fun and experience. I've got a six-point installed and Hans. If I get into anything more than just weekenders, i'll then probably get one of those. (is that a cup car?)

By the way, I let the pro driver we paid for instruction drive my car. He really liked it (first time driving a GT). He said they are nicer to drive and feel more like a real 'race car' than the GT3 Cup Car on the track. Just an interesting observation he made.

That's the 996 GT3RSR easily faster than the CGT and infinitely safer. I can see how you can fall into the trap of making the CGT what is not. This car was made to compete with the SLR and the SL65 not a the GT3RSR. The pros will be able to extract some fast lap times out of anything on wheels .. even a piece of crap like a Vette.

haha thats awesome, got this big azz sequential shifter and a $5 shimano bicycle brake lever as the secondary cable pull. Probably works just fine, but I find it rather amusing.

HotRod,
I think I read in Excellence that the wheels that Porsche specially put on the CGT for the Leno run were 18" wheels.

Michael,
Where do I get one.

Fayence,
Did I misunderstand your comment about no one ever crashing a CGT on a track? Remember Ben?

Dave, you did misunderstand his comment. He said he can't think of a car that "hasn't" crashed
