Will the GT3 be a better buy then the Turbo?

Hey guys do you think the GT3 will be a better buy then the new turbo as far as resale? I'm guessing the 996 GT3s lost less money then the 996 Turbos but I'm not sure because I havn't really had an oppertunity to study the GT3 numbers. I want to get a car for about a year since I want to trade it in for the 599GTB but they arn't coming out for another year and I only have on of the first 6 spots at the dealer meaning I'll get the car in 1.5-2 years. If I got a Turbo(one of the first ones) do you think the demand will be there for a year or two to support good resale? Will the GT3 just be a much more rare car that will hold its value longer, plus its cheaper?

Thanks

I think they are two totally different cars and should not be compared. One is a fast luxury sports car the other is born a track ready superstar. But I would base resale on productions numbers, the rarer car will have better resale.

buy what u like. they're totally different cars & the only way to keep the resale value high is don't load them up with options when u order/buy. but again order the options u like not to worry about resale value.

The GT3 will have a smaller buying audience. It caters to hard core enthusiast who typically are also value savvy. The TT will have a wider buying audience but Porsche will build a ton of them and the corresponding depreciation will be fierce.

Porsche's no longer hold their value because of the mainstream selling philosophy. So if your intent on buying a Porsche do not concern yourself with resale value and buy the car that will give you the most pleasure. If raw performance is what you seek then buy the GT3. If it is combination of perf. and comfort then the TT is the buy.

Either way when it is time to sell it bend over an grab your ankles. Your in for a epic reaming.
