news-997 GT3RS
Why would they bring the RS to the US now? They never did with the 964 (the real RS, not the RS America), 993 RS and 996 GT3 RS. Why whould it make sense for them to do it now? I know that there are dealers taking deposits on them, so what? There are also dealers taking deposits on 997 GT2's. I hate this "false hope" that dealers with no real knowledge give to their loyal customers.
From RC in germany :
"It has been (semi-)officially confirmed:
the GT3 RS is coming too. Launch is around autumn in Germany. We don't have any official data yet but the GT3 RS is rumored to be lighter than the GT3 (don't expect wonders though) with a bigger rear wing too. PCCB seems to be a standard option, same applies to the "Carrera GT" racing shells (which by the way are very very expensive and don't have the thorax airbags). Rumors also indicate that power is the same or only slightly over the 415 HP in the GT3. The body is rumored to be the widebody of the 997 Turbo/C4 models. The GT3 RS uses the PASM chassis too. Price is rumored to be above the 997 Turbo price tag. "
No mention of a US bound car

thanks JAS
As I assumed after meeting of factory people, it seemed real to me; was surprised at the response by some posters to this news? "They" also reiterated that there would VERY LIKELY not offer a replacement for the GT2. That would leave a big hole in the program when we already know that the CGT will be no longer. The RS just made sense all the way around!
I'm going to my room now and I'm shutting the door! I'm telling mommy!
