gt3 seats and airbag light

i'm putting gt3 seats in my 997s and want to avoid the airbag warning light coming on because of the airbag in the stock seats (and not because the seat belt plug).
any ideas on how to avoid that without needing to go to the delaer to reset the warning light?

If it is the same as a 996, there is a great do-it-yourself thread. Do a search on GT3 seat installation.

Just do not start the car before you plug the harness back in and you'll be fine... Hmmm, but that was on a 996. Anyway, worked for me!

thanks guys. with the 997 the syetm will be loking for the airbag in the seat and if it doesn't find it the airbag light would come on.

someone at rennlist posted a response from pca tech saying that a dealer can turn the light off.
