I have driven a GT2 on several occaisions, on the road and the track. I owned a 996 GT3 and did some significant track time until I bought a 996 Cup Car and did some PCA Club racing and part of the IMSA GT3 Challenge series. I am waiting on my 997 Cup Car to go back to the IMSA GT3 Challenge next season, since growth at work overwhelmed any time to race this season.

The GT2 is a nice vehicle but I didn't feel it was that raw or even scary. For me, and for the same money, the 997 TT is a better deal with all the new technology and performance. I wouldn't be surprised if the Ring time was the same or better than the GT2 with all the comforts of the whole package. I had the no 1 spot for the 997TT but passed on it for the 997 GT3 which looks a lot more fun. I actually hope it is a little better riding that the 996 GT3 since I don't feel like chronically pissing blood driving it on Mississippi roads. I will have a race car soon to restart my thrill rides. I don't care which car you buy, there is nothing that can get your adrenaline going like racing.

Plus

The GT3 is actually pretty docile on the streets, so the comment about pissing blood.......makes you wonder! Hmmm!

He's trying to say that Mississippi roads are absolutely horrible.

Too many potholes and uneven roads probably.

Damn guys, take it easy! We are talking about cars here, nothing really important or earth-shattering. I just simply meant that the roads in Mississippi are rough and uneven, which I'm sure is not a leap of faith for many of you knowing that we are the poorest state in the nation. I also realize that some didn't like my GT2 comment but it is simply an opinion and I wasn't passing judgement on someone else's taste. The beauty of the car market is that there is a car for any shade of taste, want, or need.

Now I remember why I don't ever post.
