Sound Clip

Click on the Europipe Sponsor to the right; check out video images.

They really are fabulous exhausts; I have them on my GT-2 and GT-3.

Hey Sharkie,

I probably had the first GT3 EP on the board or in the US for that matter. They really sound nice when they age like fine wine...

Alex,

Equal length headers, Euro X=crossed type cats (100cell simular to Manthey) w/ Porsche Sport mufflers, all 2.5" or 63.5mm diameter tubes. Marketed under the Gemballa name.
Limited time in vehicle since installed however, seat of the pants feels like lost torque off idle to 4K. After that stronger than stock GT3. In essence moved power band up higher, more peaky. Will GIAC chip help to gain loss of low end torque and make power band more linear?

Thanks

Sounds like a nice set up.. I'd _think_ you will have a lost a bit of tq down low with those headers but since these cars all belong above 5K all the time that doesn't matter too much. The GIAC chip gives you better throttle response and about 13-15rwhp which you will get from 3K onwards.... As far as giving back your "lost" torque it might a little but it won't change the "look" of the curve much. So I'd have to say I doubt that because the hardware still remains constant

I highly recommend EP. Just installed it on my GT2.
As you can see on their web site, the craftmanship is superb.
The price is high compared to other brands, but its worth it.

Alex,

No brob, thanks for the info. Just reviewed the recent threads and thanks to Neil's pic of his GT set up (Very sweet Neil), it fairly illustrates how I described the design of my X'd cat set-up. Headers also look simular in length, design and larger pipe dia. With that being said, I fully expected w/ a softer torque curve at the bottom.

Can you provide a flash solution for my GT3? GIAC or recommend, 6Speed price?

Thanks.

Did your Gemalla kit not include a ecu remapp? We use a 70mm exhaust system and because of the design you have to have the ECU remapped. Our is the same system that we use on the race cars in Europe.

Neil
