I think the GT3 is just an upgrade from the S and that Porsche is just using the name to sell more cars at a premium. It will be much more compliant and user friendly than the 996 GT3.
I also think that the 997 GT3RS will come to the states and that it will be our direct replacement to the 996 GT3. It will not be as hardcore as the 996 GT3RS was or as special. Again, using the name to sell more cars at a premium. The RS will probably be 30k more than the 996 GT3 so they would actually be increasing the price substantially. But since it is called an RS, most will think that they are getting much more than a 996 GT3 replacement.

companies that at least give different engine arent as bad like audi s4, m3, z06, and most importantly gt3. rest is mostly just a body kit and special tires
