997 GT3 - Walter Rohrl around Nürburgring in 7.42
According to a magazine (Automobil) which interviewed Walter Rohrl, he was able to drive the new Porsche 997 GT3 in 7.42.
That's 8 seconds better than the previous GT3.
He says because of PASM etc. the car is much more comfortable and useable. On th track the new specially made tires are the single best factor which improves lap times.
He are his best times:
CGT 7.28
997 GT3 7.42
996 GT3 RS 7.43
996 GT3 7.50
997 Carrera S 8.05
Cayman S 8.11
997 Carrera 8.15

If history repeats itself (996 GT3RS 7.43- 996 GT3 7.50), then look for the 997GT3RS to be in the mid 7:3?'s.
