Fikse Profil 13's or BBS motorsport wheels?

The car will be a 04 Black GT3. I would order the wheels for street use so the BBS version would be aluminum. I will use the stock wheels on the track because I tend to make a mess of track wheels and would like to keep the more expensive set for the street. What do you guys think? Also I am searching for prices on the Fikse's but can not come up with an exact price. Thanks for the input.

My office is 10 mins from the Fikse factory. I believe you can get them for $1K a piece. I have both the BBS and the Fikse and can tell you they are both very awesome wheels for the street and the track.

Fikse is great and very strong. BBS is usually casted, not forged.

FIKSE.. hands down...

you damage it, you can have that part fixed, replaced while the BBS would require you to buy a new wheel.

Fikse!

Congrads on your new toy. Fikse is the way to go! Then again I may be biased. They are noticeably lighter than stock. We must be reading the same GT3 hop up book too. Fikse for the street, stock for the track. Next question? Should they be black or silver?

True for most BBS street wheels.

All parts of the BBS racing wheels are available separately.

What do you think? If I go fikse should I go with Black on a Black car or not to keep contrast. I wish I could see a pic of a Black GT3 with the wheels.

So much misinformation on this board... as Gert said, all three pieces of the motorsport are available seperately. In addition, the aluminum race wheels are FORGED with a new process that enables it to actually be lighter than the previous magnesium centers. It also has scalloped spokes on the mesh to save weight. There are three versions of the motorsport wheel ranging from approx. 15lbs. to 21lbs. The lighter ones are meant for race use only while the 20-21 lb. version is strong enough for the street.

There is a reason why winning race teams choose BBS. There was once a post by Bob Linton on Rennlist stating that unlike most companies, BBS do not have to give wheels away, race teams will gladly pay for them and still run their logos on the cars.

Fikse have a major problem with cracked centers... much more so than BBS.

Just my 2 cents. BBS all the way! And I back up my claims by my wallet, I bought a set through Arling/Gert for my GT2.

What do BBS go for? When I bought my set of Fikse's they were not terribly expensive ~$800 per wheel for 18's.
