all you need is a programer......... for the ecu.. it can be done.

 

That's what people said about the M3 as well, but yet that was one of the most fun cars ive EVER driven, out of exotics and so on!

Like i said in a thread a long time ago, purists wouldnt like the thought of it, and it might be stupid considering what it was built for (sort of like elise's with turbo kits) but it would be interesting to see

 

Supercharge a GT3-- Why dont we just throw a chevy v8 in it..

The other wet sump 996-997's which are abit lacking in terms of performance are one thing - but a Gt3... No Kind Sir...

 

I saw on the net that RPM racing inc has done the supercharger proces on two porsches 996 gt3 maybe you can ask them

That's correct. Mk1 GT3's were not imported into the US.
Sc'ng one is not a good idea IMo.
Throwing some turbo's on it seems to make more sense, but I would not do that either. GT3's are supposed to be NA.

 

I am sponsored by RPM Racing and to my knowledge they have never ever done a sc'd gt3 and those aren't gt3's as mentioned

Well lets just say its my second home and they are like family to me I spent a lot of money on my M3 and they built the whole thing, even then getting me the best prices. Now even more so with parts and labor, whenever I need a favor or to get in there with a prob I'm in no questions asked, they even treat every customer like that but we have a whole ordeal going on with publicity and so on They do ferrari work, lots of porsches and bmw's, lamborghini's, vettes, vipers you name it!

 

sunroofs, backseats, superchargers..... next thing you know you GT3'ers will have AWD and tiptronics

 

And then Luis may be able to keep up with us...

 

I reckon my only question would be, Why?

 

For the same reason why people mod a Elise/Exige with a turbo or sc kit, or even mod a Porsche turbo or any car! Just because its setup in its best form from the facotry, doesnt mean people want it but alot faster or just to go all out on it, its nature!
