Gt3rs

Did you hear about this from the Rennlist forum? Why bother?

According to AutoWeek:

NOT FOR US
The following options will not be on the North American version of the GT3 RS:
- roll cage
- hard shell carbon fiber seats
- six point harness
- pre wiring for battery main switch
- plastic rear window
- single mass flywheel

I guess that leaves the widened rear and effectively none of the other RS advantages (guess you need the wider rear now to stabilize the extra rear weight of the US Spec RS).

With all due respect (really) for the sunroof complaining, I was planning on getting an RS (on waiting list now). If AutoWeek is right, this isn't an RS at all, and any of the financial justification for the RS spec is out the window. Save the 20-25K and buy your own LWF, seats, bar, et al for the GT3.

My fading hope is that everyone is wrong and we're getting the ROW GT3 RS.

that really sucks. also will the PCCB be an option or standard on the RS? not a big deal on the brake itself but it certainly reflect about 8k worth on top of the sticker.

The full specs on the RS won't be released before the Paris Motor Show in September, when the car is debuted. So my guess is that no one knows for sure.
